I held two simultaneous leadership roles at Utopia Music:
 

Director of Operations, Spain

​

• I spearheaded Utopia’s expansion into the Spanish market by establishing the Barcelona office and assuming full P&L responsibility for local operations. 

• Designed a GTM  strategy for Spain, Portugal, and LATAM across multiple product verticals (financial services, creator services, publishing, distribution, music supervision).

Head of CMLA (Global Product Owner)

Concurrently, I led a business unit called Creative Music Licensing Agency, globally. 
 

• Served as Product Owner, managing a cross-functional team of musicologists, data scientists, and product managers.

• Integrated Musimap’s emotional metadata tagging and NLP for lyrics analysis to power music discovery.

• Conducted product discovery, in-depth customer interviews, and competitive benchmarking.

• Negotiated third-party data acquisition to strengthen product value.

• Defined the platform’s unique value proposition and prepared go-to-market strategy with tailored messaging for multiple user personas.

• Coached, and mentored an international team of 20+ across product, data science, legal, marketing, sales, customer operations, and strategy.

Together, these dual roles combined international operations leadership with hands-on product ownership, bridging strategy, technology, and creative licensing in the music ecosystem.

Combining advanced algorithms with the expertise of senior musicologists, Enhance generates 300+ weighted metadata tags per track — covering genres, sub-genres, moods, situations, vocal and acoustic attributes.

With a 4,000-keyword search lexicon and deep lyric analysis (moods, themes, language detection in 75+ languages), Enhance enables highly nuanced and accurate search results. This metadata enrichment improves track discoverability across platforms, enhances smart-speaker search, and ensures industry alignment with DDEX ERN and MEAD standards.
 

Utopia Discover is an AI-powered, neutral recommendation engine that personalizes music discovery by combining artificial music intelligence with emotional listener profiling. Drawing on proven psycho-emotional models and rich musicological expertise, Discover analyzes user personality and listening behavior to recommend tracks, playlists, and artists with precision.

Features include personalized track, playlist, and radio recommendations, playlist continuation, and artist discovery through deep catalog analysis — all delivered in real time and with zero duplication. Fully compliant with DDEX ERN metadata ingestion and MEAD export standards, Discover helps DSPs and listeners alike find music that resonates, creating richer and more satisfying listening journeys.
